She hates everything, especially unicorns. Unlike Blossom, she is bossy, vain and demanding, and Bubbles, who is more emotional and outgoing, Buttercup has (mostly) a morbid, cynical and reckless attitude (likely due to the fact that, out of the three girls, her name was chosen purely out of convenience on Professor Utonium's part). She is afraid of the dark, which is often the focus and revealed on some episodes (such as "Boogie Frights" and "Power-Noia").īuttercup (voiced by Elizabeth Daily) is one of the main characters in The Powerpuff Girls. Her special superpower is the Sonic Scream (although later the other Powerpuff Girls seem to be able to use their own version too). She can be very independent when pushed, and out of all the Powerpuff Girls, she is the most feared by Mojo Jojo after having single-handedly taken him down in a fit of rage in the episode Bubblevicious. She does, however, have a tendency to be the toughest, leading to her never being regarded, by friends and foes alike, as the group's strongest link, a fact that has led to her never being manipulated by opponents. She is the strongest of the group (despite being the same age as her sisters) and is defined by being the cutest. She is portrayed as having blonde hair in two pigtails, blue eyes, and dresses in a blue dress with a black belt. During the episode Power-Noia, it's revealed that she dislikes failing tests.īubbles (voiced by Tara Strong in the series) is one of the main characters in the animated television series "Powerpuff Girls." In "Ice Sore," surprised and shocked by her new power, Bubbles and Buttercup quickly become very jealous of their sister. Her special superpower is "Ice Breath," similar to Ace`s cryokinesis power in ``Power Lunch``, as revealed in the episode "Ice Sore," though in the same episode she has been shown to breathe fire. She often tries to play peacemaker between her two sisters if they yell at each other (she and Buttercup often yell typically). She is known for being the smartest one and the leader of the Powerpuff Girls. She has long, light red-orange hair, pink eyes, and usually wears a pink dress with a black belt and a red bow on the top of her head and a heart-shaped hairclip when seen from behind. Blossom found a root supposedly to cure the swelling.Coincidentally, both this episode, " Moral Decay" from the 1998 series and " Harmed to the Teeth" from Powerpuff Girls Z involves a teeth/dentist related plot.On the first time the girls go to see the dentist, Bubbles said that the dentist told her her teeth were so nice that the dentists want to use a picture of Bubbles' teeth for a new logo, and it becomes true when Blossom sees the dentist, the sign which is beside the building has been put the picture on it.Blossom refusing to go to the dentist is a bit of a parallel plot line to " Down 'n' Dirty" from the 1998 series where Buttercup refuses to take a bath.Jackson as Mojo Jojo was shown in the credits, but Mojo hasn't been in the entire episode. The first was Buttercup in " Electric Buttercup". This is the second time a girl gets fingers.Unlike this episode, Blossom has fire breath when she has a really severe cavity. In the original series episode " Ice Sore", when Blossom breathes fire when there's a cold weather. In this episode, she has bad breath and in " Secret Swapper of Doom" she has rotten teeth. This episodes reveals that Blossom had a crippling fear of the dentist. This episode aired thirteen years after " Roughing It Up/ What's the Big Idea?" an episode of the original series. After Buttercup tells her about cavity fixing at the dentist, she is scared out of her wits over having the dentist drill into her that she skips the visit, lies about seeing the dentist, and gets more and more grotesque as the swelling increases. Blossom is beset with a toothache on the day the girls have their teeth cleaned at the dentist.
