It's hard to draw a comparison to a different material because of how unique it is, but it almost reminds me of those weird holographic cups where the picture changes depending on what angle you look at it, though not as extreme.Īnother thing I see almost every Artisan user talk about is the grip on the pad. It's definitely different to a typical cloth pad, but it isn't irritating or distracting or anything. One thing I saw some Shidenkai users talk about was how weird the surface felt. I actually ordered this one from Amazon, since it was basically the same price as on Artisan's website while still being available for two day shipping. ![]() So, I decided to pull the trigger on the Artisan Shidenkai, just to give it a shot. After the wash it regained some speed, but it went away after an hour or so. It felt slower than when it was fresh out of the box, even when trying to wash it.
